Antico Monastero - b&b in Anacapri

A small and intimate bed and breakfast

Welcome! Antico Monastero is our small and cozy bed and breakfast in the heart of the historic center of Anacapri. Not a hotel, neither a pension, but simply a part of our house, where we will be happy to accommodate you and to guarantee you an unforgettable stay in the Island of Capri.

Unique place

The B&B has only three rooms, located in the oldest part of the former monastery of San Michele Arcangelo of Anacapri, partly incorporated in the Monumental Church of San Michele, famous for its wonderful tiled floor. Intimate and completely independent, the rooms retain all the charm of the typical seventeenth-century Capri style, with its thick walls, low vaults, precious arches and stucco decorations. The furnishings and facilities are what you would expect to find in your own home.

Family atmosphere

At the bed and breakfast Antico Monastero of Anacapri the originality of the place combines with the warm hospitality typical of the Mediterranean culture. While ensuring privacy and discretion, you can always find us “next door”, ready to assist you during your stay. The breakfast in the morning, in particular, will be an opportunity to meet and know each other, to share with you the beauty of the Island of Capri and ensure small, customized courtesies.

Very central location

Antico Monastero is located in the historic center of Anacapri. For this reason we do not have rooms with a view, but the convenient central location makes it easy to reach all the sights of the island. Close to the B&B there are the parish church of St. Sophia, the Art Gallery of the Red House, the old neighborhood of Boffe, in addition to the main bars, restaurants and shops. In 5 minutes you arrive at the station of the chairlift to Monte Solaro, at the Villa Museum of Axel Munthe and at bus stops to Capri, Marina Grande, Marina Piccola, the Lighthouse and the Blue Grotto. The church of San Michele and its floor with the Earthly Paradise? They’re just beyond the wall!
